Mighty strange, given that Bendigo Airport is a Bureau of Meteorology weather station, and only a handful of kms from the activity!

OK, so it seems the outdoor (GPS-enabled) activity has to be near an airport or aerodrome to get the weather information.

philipshambrook, I found a few more of your activities near Melbourne and Perth that has weather information. •••• Maybe you can look for something near Auckland or Wellington?

I can see weather information on your Brisbane Running activity here:

but just not anything in Bendigo you have recorded (and made publicly accessible) since.

MaxMax, as has been pointed out, for timed GPS activities weather information is there. I surmise that Garmin Connect acquires it from an external weather information service provider, on the basis of the time and vicinity in each such activity record.

You cannot manually supply or overwrite this weather information, even if or when it is inaccurate, or fails to match your recollection, but you can enter freeform text in the Notes section of an activity record, which is (usually!) searchable. That means you can manually encode all sorts of information in the content if you really wanted to, or just compose a description of the relevant aspects of the weather using consistent language and terminology.

Actually, it's on the map for an activity in the phone app as well. Temperature, cloud cover, and wind speed and direction.

In web Connect for GPS-based activities, you can see an icon with a weather summary in the upper right corner of the map. That's a start.
