Probably also not help by the entire RunGap development team being absent. The excerpt below is from page 6 of this thread:

For those having issues exporting runs from Garmin Connect, into RunGap, I received the following from RunGap support.

Apparently Garmin made some changes to their service which broke the integration with RunGap.

If these changes are a permanent, our developer will need to find a workaround and implement it.

In the meantime...manually importing and exporting workouts

Unfortunately the whole development team (all one of them) is currently beyond reach up in the Himalayas while attempting to reach the top of Mera Peak (6.476 m).

If all goes as planned, he will be back in the office on November 6 and will look into this first thing in the morning.

My Hub just brought me an Apple Watch ⌚️ as a surprise pressie, even though I’m happy with my Garmin.
Trying to work out how to make both brands work together, so that I’m not being ungrateful for the generous & thoughtful gift.

I tested ultra 2 for last days after using marq for 4 years. Seriously, there is quite some disappointment. I was expecting apple to be better in few things but it worse in almost any aspect that isnimportant for training. Less accurate, lower probing frequency, higher momentum, less convenient in lapping, difficult to use in swimming pool. Etc. And once even you convert the activity using Rangap - it takes 1 km splits instead of laps.

How are you finding the Ultra compared with the Fenix? I’m thinking of trying the Ultra 2 when it comes out next month but worried about losing Garmin Connect?

Just got the app it works great to transfer to Garmin but then Garmin sends it back to Apple so I get duplicates

Yes it works great but Garmin connect auto syncs back to Apple creating 2 identical runs in Apple health , I noticed the auto sync with Apple when I used my Garmin for swimming as I don’t like the way you have to stop Apple Watch after swimming if your swimming for time it takes to long

I just left my Fenix 6x and moved to an Apple Ultra. Can I, and does it make sense to, sync my Strava watch app to Garmin Connect (as I did when I used my Garmin “run”/“outdoor cycling” app on my Fenix?

i initially thought that maybe I should see if there is a Garmin Connect app for the Apple Watch, and there is not.

I’m entirely open to the possibility that I’m way over-thinking this, and really don’t even need Connect, since my final resting place for my workouts is Strava (free version, after I cancel premium due to Strava absurd price increases).

Thoughts from any of you power users?

Another one called HealthFit will export the activity from the AW4 as a .fit file, but not sure if it sends steps etc.

There is an app called RunGap that I use to take the workout data from the Apple Health app and export it to Garmin Connect. It works great.

Correct..I think You need a Garmin device and an account on Garmin Connect.
