Similar to you I also wish that there was a button I could press or a toggle I could select on Garmin Express that said "Fix all bugs" including the Garmin Express glance re-ordering problem but alas this does not exist.

There is no simple way to fix all the bugs in your Garmin products. You have to carefully report them to Garmin product support and keep sending evidence until they recognise that there is an issue, and then maybe one day in the future the bug could be fixed.

Reporting bugs on the forum is usually not sufficient on its own and someone has to report each issue directly to product support.

Garmin Express on Mac is reordering glances on Fenix 8 Solar

When I plug in my Fenix 8 Solar to my Mac to update software and maps, the glances are reordered. This is frustrating as I regularly use the top three glances.

I understand this is a widely recognised problem, I'm just reporting to add to the pool of data.

Garmin, please update Garmin Express and release a NATIVE arm64 release for macOS.

Apple hasn't sold an Intel Mac in *years* and it's beyond embarrassing that zero effort has been put into support Apple users.

Reminder, Apple users have more disposable income than any other type of computer buyer. Do the right thing and put some engineering effort into this growing platform!

Thank you so much for the update. I have been getting the same alerts for Sonos desktop controller for Mac as well, but Sonos has not made any announcement yet. I understand this isn't exciting to include in a press release, but to say nothing before sunsetting apps or features that loyal customers rely upon on a daily basis is disrespectful to the community and user base. Thank you Garmin for confirming this, even if the timing and details of the release are still sketchy.

everytime i download garmin express i only get the chinese mainland login i have forgot my password but when i try to reset my password it wont let me chainge my number area code and its set to 86

Intel based applications will still work on macOS 27, the version after that (28) will not contain Rosetta anymore.

Incredible. The implication is that it is likely Garmin will not have a version of Garmin Express that works at all on macOS 27 when it is released in September.

No, you don't need to toggle anything, is only your option; after my 6X Pro experience, with the new 8 Solar, I do all sorting, settings in apps, widgets, etc with Connect, not with Express; I use Express or Connect to sync activities, and Express to have a better view of results, graphs, etc.(and download maps, firmware); but you can do the opposite, all on Express, but remember that if you do those operations both on Express and Connect you can get certain incoherences, that is my own experience

I had the Garmin Fenix 6X Pro; this situation sometimes occurred when I was syncing with Garmin Express and the connection with Garmin Connect (on the phone) was active; for example, if you reordered widgets, activities, etc. in Connect, when you connected it to Express, the sorting would revert to the old way.
From what I read, one should favor the sorting only via Connect because there is some problem of the 'outdated' cache in Express

Well Garmin has not yet figured out the solution as I am on all of the latest software - watch and computer - and it is still occurring. Hopefully they will soon find a solution soon to the reordering of glances when connecting to Garmin Express via USB.

In my case I am using Garmin Express 7.29 (latest version) on a Windows 11 PC. The last few times that I connected to my PC the glances have just been rearranged. Prior to that they would be rearranged and some would be removed that I then needed to add back to my list. I found that it is easier to get the arrangement back to the way I want it or to add the glances back is using Garmin Connect rather than doing it on the watch. Hopefully Garmin is on the case.

I've noticed the Google Maps glance relocate to the top of the glance list after a sync with Garmin Express. It must be a software issue.

Every time that I connect my F8 to Garmin Express to charge or update my glances are rearranged and in some cases removed. Is there a settting or a save option that I need to change to prevent Garmin Express from rearranging or deleting my glances after connection?

Hey, Thanks, I did get everything back in order and I did look at what you said.
My problem was also that ALL my Apps that you need, like biking, snowboarding, swimming, rowing, there were only a few left in there,

I had to put every one back in. They were gone from Connect too. So not only did I have to put those in I had to program how I wanted my data screens too.

Rearranging glances was nothing compared to all those apps missing!
I’m just grateful I didn’t have to do a complete reset on my watch! Whew 🙂

Even the standard Apps were gone and had to reinstall them, including Glances. Got them in, rearranged everything and when i did my sync I got the null red flag. Nothing changed it so i had to go to setting and reinstall the update. So I assume it was the newest Garmin update.

Garmin you can do better than this and now i have to rearrange things and add my settings I want on my activites, like time, heart rate etc., anyone else have this problem, needless to say when I was at the gym last night with no activity to push on I have nothing.
