macOS 27 is expected to be released for public within 2-3 weeks, so open communication about Garmin Express future update compatible with Apple Silicon Mac’s would be appreciated by users.

Garmin, please update Garmin Express and release a NATIVE arm64 release for macOS.

Apple hasn't sold an Intel Mac in *years* and it's beyond embarrassing that zero effort has been put into support Apple users.

Reminder, Apple users have more disposable income than any other type of computer buyer. Do the right thing and put some engineering effort into this growing platform!

Garmin Express 7.29.2.0 NOT working on macOS Tahoe 26

I can't use Garmin Express on my macOS Tahoe 26.6.2 to sync my Garmin Forerunner 955. I need to know whether or not Garmin Will update the Garmin Express app for macOS Tahoe 26.6.2 and later.

7.29.2.0 is compatible with Tahoe.

Another user had an issue and Garmin's suggestion was to remove and reinstall Garmin Express.

There has been no answer from the user.

It runs. It works if you copy the files from the installer package bit COME ON GARMIN. This is base level stuff. Its a Universal App. Has ANYONE at Garmin tried to install Express on a Apple Silicon Mac?

No - JaVaWa is saying you're confusing a pre-install check in the installer app with native Apple Silicone support. They are not the same.

Wrong - the issue is a pre-install check in by installer app being run in a beta OS.

Native Apple Silicon support is a different issue.

That is not the same as your interpretation "This version of Garmin Express will not open in the next release of macOS."

Not what my Mac said to me in a pop up this morning.

But they introduced apple silicone in 2020. it's now 2026. Garmin have dropped the ball here. The fact that it won't work in golden gate this late in the beta is concerning.

The next version of macOS (27) still supports Intel apps using Rosetta. That support is dropped in the following version (28), a year later.

It won't be beta from next month. The issue isn't support for intel based apps is changing and Garmin after 6 years hasn't made an apple silicone app. So I guess we have this discussion next month when my Mac says express will stop working? Or we can prod Garmin to fix it proactively not retroactively. The fact that it's beta is irrelevant in this case as it's due to a change 6 years in the making.

Id normally agree that beta software breaks stuff, but this is literally a computer language change and Garmin have had several years to update but they haven't

The poster can't install on a Mac running a beta version of macOS. Installing works fine on the last regular version of macOS on Apple Silicon.

The poster can't install on a modern Mac which uses apple silicon. Therefore it is everything thing to do with apple silicone. Intel macs have been out of production for years now and Garmin still use an intel code base which is what is causing the issue. Next month Garmin connect will be incompatible with macs that upgrade to the newest osx version.

When I plug in my Fenix 8 Solar to my Mac to update software and maps, the glances are reordered. This is frustrating as I regularly use the top three glances.

I understand this is a widely recognised problem, I'm just reporting to add to the pool of data.

Let's see if that actually materializes by Garmin when the time comes. Having been direct witness to Garmin's track record for hardware/software support and development since 1999, I would hope they can pull it off and pull it off without issue.

The installation problem is affecting beta MacOS users. Garmin is not the only company to release software revisions only after the final OS is released.
