I found that completely deleting Basecamp via 'App Cleaner' (free) and reinstalling will get the app back working. Before doing this I would backup your data in the ~/Library/Application Support/Garmin tree. 'App Cleaner' usually leaves this tree alone but you never want to take a chance.

I discovered this out when testing Basecamp on a MacOS VM to so see what my options are if Garmin doesn't port Basecamp to ARM when MacOS 28 arrives in 2027 and most of Rosetta support is dropped. I did not notice that without enough GPU power Basecamp will not work with Rosetta. Right now the MacOS VM option is not very usable due to the slow VM GPU.

Basecamp works fine on my M1 Mac Mini, so not sure why yours doesn't run it.

I don’t think this can be the cause. The version in Apple Store is 4 yrs old. The version provided by Garmin is more recent and on Garmin site it’s clearly stated M1 or newer.

This is likely a limitation of the model of the Mac Mini M1 and no longer being able to support BaseCamp updates and usage since it is working on the newer Macbook Air M4.
