This has been solved. It seems to me the Verb Edit can not export 24 FPS video. So I had to use Handbrake to change the video to 30 fps and it is working now.

Export of video failed.

Unknown error occurred during video exporting.

This above message kept showing up when I export a video. The progress of exporting a video never move forward. and the message showed up after about 1 minute starting export.

I have tried uninstall the app and reinstall it. The problem is still there. On Mac, it seems you can not completely remove all the file of the app. When reinstall the app. it automatically use the folders they used before.

My video is already H264 file. And I had success with using other videos from the same GoPro without issue. It just suddenly the software stop working.

Hello thank you for your reactivity and your answer, it seems that we are not so numerous to have this issue, even with a non supported version the functionality is working for some others, unfortunately it is not the case for us !

I am trying to find new gauges to use, when I click on the Plus icon to "Get More..." it brings me to a Gauge Browser page and says either

"Gauge browser requires an internet connection. Please check your connection and try again." or "No Gauges Found."

My internet connection is just fine..

I am using the latest Virb edit software 5.4.3

Any help solving this issue would be greatly appreciated

I have not found a solution yet. I assume Garmin stoped supporting add on features for the program. I also assume if you find some with the add on’s you want you can probably copy the files over but finding someone who has them would be the hard if not impossible part.

Hero12 only records in HEVC h.265 and Virb will not export with h.265 files.

I've been through all the forum questions that have been asked over the last 9 years and I still can't make head nor tail of this.

I've updated the Mac operating system.

I've tried turning the volume down to 0.

Graphics card is fine - it's a 3 year old MacBook Pro.

Plenty of RAM.

Don't have any anti-virus software.

The videos are from a brand new GoPro Hero12 Creator.

All the data files are running perfectly.

I've tried exporting from the Gallery and the Editing suite.

I get no warning about file size limit but I've tried 4k, I've tried 1080p, I've tried 720p.

And, yes, I have the latest version of VIRB edit.

Please, please, please help me to solve this problem. I've been wanting to upload these videos for a week and I am way behind. I've spent hours on these videos and would really appreciate being able to be helped to figure out why I can't do the simplest of actions [emoticon:752f32bcc91d4a448db162742a877a4a]

The smallest I can make the Virb window size is 1180x650, if that helps. Is your laptop display larger than that? If so, double click in the title bar. If that minimizes it to the dock you can change this behavior in system preferences/dock & menu bar/

Double click a title bar to and select zoom

this will grow the window to a size that fills the screen other than the dock and menus, if your screen has as much or more than the pixels above.

These instructions work in Monterey, not with garbage ventura system settings probably.

App size too big om Macbook Pro

Does anybody else have the problem when opening Virb that the app is too big for the screen so that you can't get to the buttons at the bottom? To solve this I have to change the screen size to "more space" from the default setting. Annoying

I would like to make a feature request if it does not exist yet. I use virb edit to apply garmin telemetry to gopro footage. My gopro splits long video into multiple files and I end up with multiple clips, I have to add gmetrix, sync footage, apply visuals onto multiple clips, although those clips is one continuous video. Is there a way to merge multiple clips into one or if not I would propose this feature. Thanks in advance!

Yeah when you're adding gauges and only have to do the sync one time...huge deal. Especially if you press record and hit the garmin start at the same time. Losslesscut is one of those programs that actually saves you massive time.

There is a program that does this, and it does it without re-encoding, and extremely fast. It's called Losslesscut. You just drag all the individual clips into the losslesscut window, and select merge, and a destination, and you get a seamless, original quality single video file. I've done this with videos as large as 240gb. It's just a disk I/O operation, it operates as fast as your disk is. Available for Mac or PC, I use the Mac version and it's fantastic. I also use it to extract clips out of the big files, again at original quality no re-encoding, and super fast.

Virb exports 60 fps video with actual fps 59.83. Youtube plays video as 30 fps

I record with my gopro, mode is 2k 60 fps, when I edit footage in virb edit and export with setting 60 fps, in vlc I can check details and see that actual fps is 59.835..., and when I upload video to youtube, it does not display 60fps option. It plays video as 30 fps. I believe as a workaround, I can edit virb exported video to 60 fps in another app, but is there a better way and is this really causing youtube issue?

I have a problem with my VIRB Ultra 30 camera that I have tried to fix for hours today.

I recently switched my old MacBook Air with standard large USB ports with a brand new MacBook Pro M1+ with Monterey, and only USB-C ports.

So I bought a USB-C to USB mini cable off Amazon (this one), and expected my Mac to communicate with the VIRB. But it only charges. The cable should be fine, because I am able to connect an old eTrex VISTA to my new Mac with no problem. With the VIRB Ultra 30, it doesn't show up in Finder and doesn't appear in Garmin Express. So I have formatted the SD card thinking that's the problem. But no solution. So I tried to connect the VIRB with the same cable to a DELL Windows 10 PRO laptop and THAT worked. So definitely the cable is ok. I downloaded Virb Edit on the PC and that worked with my Ultra too. So what's going on with MacBook Pro M1+ and Monterey and VIRB Ultra cameras ????

Just stop screwing with it and get a fast USB-C card reader. It's much faster than device to computer transfer anyway.
