Mark Waypoints

I have a new ETREX 32X and i cannot mark a waypoint, "Database Error" and Missing Languages; I have performed factory reset, with no change

Can I show tracks from a device with G3 bluechart in Homeport by doing the following:

1. download the relevant GPX files to my Windows PC

2. disconnect the G3 device

3. connect with my old G2 device - Garmin 78s - where I still can see the G2 charts with tracks

4. open the relevant GPX files and show them in Homeport?

I lost all routes, waypoints, etc.---Please help

I had 404 combined waypoints and tracks saved in Homeport. I looked and now I have only 76 in combined total! No idea what happened! Please offer any advice to help me locate them. Thank you.

I don't know HomePort in detail but if it's like BaseCamp and you've deleted them by accident then they are gone unless you regularly back up your database? The only other possibility is that you may have accidentally removed them from a folder or list in which case they will be in the Unlisted folder.

Over 2 years and not one response from Garmin?

Is Garmin ever going to provide a solution to this problem or are they going to continue ignoring their customers?

It almost seems like they would rather their customers move to other manufacturers instead of fixing the problem.

HomePort and BlueChart g3 Charts

When is Garmin going to update HomePort so that we can view BlueChart g3 charts on our computers?

I use a computer because it is impossible to see the charts well enough on a phone to plan routes, trips and organize waypoints, ActiveCaptain is definitely NOT the answer.

Come on Garmin, I just paid 2 grand for this chartplotter and now I can no longer do what I could with my 16 year old GPSMap 2010c and MapSource. Please update HomePort so we can view BlueChart g3 charts on our computers

Здравствуйте . Поднимаю данный вопрос ,что имеется бюджетный эхолот Garmin Striker 4 Plus , софт на данную модель в данный момент отсутствует ( за некоторым исключением , программа DNR GARMIN которая устарела и не поддерживается разработчиком ) данные сохраняет не корректно с ошибками .Данное устройство не имеет дополнительных интерфейсов (USB, WiFi , CD card) только RS 232 . Мною проведены некоторые иследования для понимания всего процесса .Скорость передачи данных : 115200 boud . В других программах имеющие возможность подключать ( последовательный порт RS232) , протокол обмена данными не поддерживается ( это скорее текстовой формат ASCII в бинарном исполнении ) .

Sorry, but this is a shame, and i have now a other opinion from Garmin. The last update from Homeport was 16 months ago!!! Garmin please work and not only cash.
Does anybody have a solution?

I have a "homeport" application file that I downloaded ... it's only 36000kb so not real big, so I wonder if it was an application file that linked to an online repository for the actual software? I can e-mail you what I have.

Is there anyone who can zip up the HomePort install files to email to me?

What are we supposed to do if your device is not wifi enabled and Garmin got rid of HomePort?

First, since the EchoMap 44cv doesn't have wifi, I can't do anything with my data since they torched HomePort.

Second, why does every software manufacturer seem to believe I want to work on my little phone?

I like SUSSAMBs idea.

imdisk 2.0.10 which is an older version here at 576kb https://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/imdisk_virtual_disk_driver.html

works for creating a virtual and removable drive, and homeport and garmin express can see it.

Once installed open the 'Imdisk virtual disk driver - go file mount new disk

For image file - navigate to a folder somewhere on your pc that this file will live. it will say the file does not exist and you say yes to create it.

set a drive letter.

set a size in megabytes or gigabytes

tick virtual disk drive access image file directly and tick removable media. ok

A few seconds later you will be prompted to format the new drive. I suggest FAT and give it a name like virutalSD

Once you have created a virtual drive and formatted. You can copy the files from SD cards to easily in explorer from then on.

Hello! I'm new to HomePort and somewhat computer illiterate! I managed to copy the charts from my new EchoMap DV54 to an SD Card. I'm trying to copy the charts into HomePort. The charts do appear but when I remove the SD Card they disappear. Isn't there a way to keep them on the computer or do I always need the SD Card handy. Thanks for any help folks!

I have recently updated to Windows11. It appears that the ANT+ dongle is no longer recognized and not operational. The drivers were not migrated from the Windows10 set up!! Do you have any solution? I cannot use platforms that do not support Bluetooth, like BigRingVR. Thanks in advance

Hi,
I just received my updated G2 Vision chip (VUS511L Boston to Norfolk) for 2012. Its' dated Feb 2012.

When the G@ chip is selected as the chart, and the "Fishing Chart" view is selected, all of the spot soundings disappear. If I change to my old version of the same chip (2010.5), the soundings appear. It makes no difference as to the Zoom level.

Here are screen shots of the exact same area, at the same zoom levels. The first is the old (2010.5) chip, the second image is the 2012 chip.

it looks like Garmin abandoned their customers, even on the device you can not view the recording of the echogram

I gave up Ultra and switched to HDS LIVE LOWRANCE

Hi. I am using Homeport to review my sonar recordings from my echomap 50dv device. The problem is that when I review the recording and say I go from 5 to 25 meters of depth on the same recording, then what I see in homeport is the depth at 25 meters and everything in 5 meters is very small to analyse. When the recording reaches 25 meters then I have a clear image. I am attaching two photos to explain that to you. . Ia there a zoom option? Thank you very much.
